Nine South Florida television professionals talked to over fifty college seniors who are about to graduate from courses in television and communications about careers in the industry. The Career Day event was held in studio C of the Wolfson School of Communication at the University of Miami. Each professional told the story of his or her career twists and turns and offered advice on how to proceed. After each professional had spoken, the entire group went outside to the school courtyard. Each professional sat at the table and answered questions and had a lengthy dialog with the students. Laurie Stein said, “I got terrific questions from the students. It is just so important to speak to the next generation of journalists and I feel so fortunate to be a part of shaping their careers.”
