“EMMYS ON THE ROAD” GOES TO MOBILE, ALABAMA

Craig Stevens, WSVN-TV, Miami News Anchor, and Brent Bader Cinematographer at WSVN-TV, met with television professionals who work in the Mobile, Alabama – Pensacola, Florida television market on Saturday morning, January 27 at the Admiral Semmes Hotel in downtown Mobile. Twenty anchors, reporters and cinematographers and one News Director discussed with Craig and Brent how to grow the quality of their work. Many tapes were screened and critiqued. Gary Arnold, Chief Photographer at WKRG-TV, Mobile and 2006 Emmy Award winner screened three stories, which drew applause from everyone. Betsy Behrens, Suncoast Treasurer and Trustee and Bob Behrens, Suncoast Executive Director, talked about the Emmy Awards and how to improve the opportunities for success in the awards. Afterwards, Craig Stevens said, “I had a great time, sharing our enthusiasm for NATAS, and talking shop with our Alabama and North Florida colleagues. I’d like to think we generated new interest in the Chapter and made some friends along the way.”
