Cassie Glenn is in her Junior year at the University of Miami with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Her grade point average is 3.752. From September through December 2009, she took courses in the Spanish language, culture and communications - all taught in Spanish - at the Universidad de Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain. Cassie wants to be a news reporter. She will intern for her second summer at CBS4 News in her home town of Denver, Colorado.

James Pierre is finishing his first year at Miami Dade College majoring in television production. His grade point average is 3.87. From 1996 to 2006, he worked as a writer, producer and on-air talent on radio and television in Port au Prince in Haiti. Subsequently, after moving to South Florida, he has worked as a camera operator for television and a producer on WSRF 1580 Radio in Miami. James wants to get into television news. He says he's willing to do anything and go anywhere.

Chhaya Nene is a Sophomore at the University of Miami with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations. Her grade point average is 3.5. Her international interests come naturally. Her parents are from India. She is proficient in Hindi and Marathi and fluent in French. She attended high school outside Washington, DC where she took TV courses to become a Virginia State Certified TV technician. As a part of this course, she helped produce a Kennedy Center program for national television. Chhaya says she wants to travel the world reporting stories for television that help people.
